Regardless, you don't have to plan this process by yourself. Give us a call to learn more - 888-884-5104!

What is a wind zone?
Wind zones are regional classifications established under the HUD Code to help you understand what level of storm winds your manufactured home can safely withstand. No home is indestructible, but manufactured homes built to HUD Code after 1976 were built with weather in mind.
There are three wind zones. More coastal areas are going to be the strongest zone, Zone 3. Zone 3 homes are made to be able to withstand 110 mph winds. Wind Zone 2 homes are built to withstand up to 100 mph, and Zone 1 homes are for locations in more interior areas that don’t have the same threat of hurricanes. When moving a home, it’s important to consider which wind zone it was built for.
Why choose manufactured housing?
Many people choose mobile homes for their affordability or the option to move them onto owned land. Check out several benefits of manufactured housing here!
What’s the difference between a mobile and manufactured home?
Those outside the industry may not notice the difference, but there's a big one! Mobile homes are technically homes built before June 15th, 1976 (pre HUD Code). Homes built according to code standards are known as manufactured homes.
You might also be wondering why we say mobile and manufactured interchangeably. We understand the difference, but the community and customers often still use both terms interchangeably, so we do, too!
